With hundreds of offices across the nation still using DOS quick!Office
Commander, we know it will be some time before we can get everyone
to transition.
Although Leading Edge would like to support DOS quick!Office
Commander for as long as possible, we have to be realistic.
It’s only a matter of time before our programming and
support teams lose familiarity with the DOS product, especially
in light of industry trends which are guided by bigger players.
We respectfully suggest that DOS quick!Office
Commander users consider upgrading their equipment and beginning
the transition as soon as possible.
We know change is challenging. Those of you using the software
for over a decade are most likely to be nervous. You trusted
us when very few companies believed Front Desk Software was
necessary. You can trust us again, and we have references
to help you if that's not enough. You'll be happy to know
that function keys still work, making the transition that
much simpler. So, if you don't like the mouse, you rarely
have to use it (but you'll see that you will want to!).
This part of our web site includes some (not all) of the
reasons you may want to consider switching. There are many
new options available only in Windows not documented here,
but you can see them all by reading the section on Commander.
